This is my confession...

Okay so I have something I need to tell you. I failed to mention that yesterday was my birthday. Usually my birthdays are the biggest day of the year. We always have a big party, I get lots of presents, and it's a wonderful time. I knew, due to finances, etc that this birthday would not be this way and so I just put out of my mind. But quite honestly, this was one of my favorite birthdays. My hubby got me the sweetest card from him and FAR got me a card too :) My bestie surprised me when I woke up Saturday AM with a Starbucks gift card and Reeses (My favorite candy!) And we spent the day feeding bears and traveling. Wait did I get ahead of myself? Let's start at the beginning....

Friday afternoon we dropped FAR off with his Aunt KK and Uncle G and met Michelle & Daniel in Loganville. We left about 6:30 and stopped to eat and made it all the way to the Mall of GA (45 minutes or so) before we stopped again at POPCORN HAVEN! I so wish I would of taken photos here... This place was amazing! RB and I got: Dill Pickle Popcorn (my fav!) Hot Wing and Ranch with Cheese, and BANANA PUDDING POPCORN! Daniel and Michelle got 1/2 Salt and Vinegar 1/2 Dill Pickle,  Peanut Butter Chocolate, and KEY LIME PIE! It was so delish! We talked and snacked on popcorn the entire trip up. 

 

 

 

Saturday we woke up and went to Helen. Lucky for us, it was Octoberfest! We had a blast walking around and going into shops, and we ate dinner at Pauls on the River. Yum! We went back to the cabin and played games and talked and had a great time :) 

 

 

 

 

Sunday was my actual Birthday and we woke up and ate a amazing breakfast of eggs, bacon, and grits. We then packed up and left to go to see the Bears! We got to feed them and look at them. Those bears looked so sweet and cuddly I made the comment I wanted to take one home. The creepy caretaker guy informed me they would kill me. It was defiantly an experience  On the way out we made plans to break the bears free so they could go back into the wild... 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So all in all my birthday weekend was wonderful. memorable. and one of the best ones ever. Funny how that kinda thing sneaks up on you right? :) 

Friday Letters

Dear Mountain Weekend: After 3 months of planning, anticipating, and being overly excited you are finally here. Yay!! Dear RB: I can't wait for some rest, relaxation, and not having to chase a toddler for 48 whole hours! Dear FAR: Mommy and Daddy will miss you, but I know you will have fun with your Aunt KK and Uncle G. Dear Bestie: So excited we finally get to hang out and have bestie time. It's been far far too long... Dear GPC: If you are going to hire online instructors to instruct us, make sure they know how to do their jobs. We meet the deadlines or we get penalized... they don't meet their deadlines to us and it ticks me off!!

Words

I know lately I have not had a lot of words. Honestly, all of my thoughts and words have been going toward school. This is midterm week. and they are stressing me out. But on the bright side, I passed my 1/2 semester class (Research) with an A! My first college A and I couldn't be more proud! 

So today, while i'm studying and taking test after test, i'll let the photos speak for me, yet again :)

16 Months

Dear FAR,

16 months old!? Seriously? You are growing up way too fast! This weekend Mommy and Daddy took you to a fall festival and you were swinging like a big boy! 

Although swinging wasn't your favorite activity... We stood at the kiddie pool full of balls for almost 30 minutes because you wouldn't get out! 

You have gotten so sassy lately! Your favorite thing to do is play xbox with daddy before you go to bed. You've gotten into hitting and throwing and we are trying our best to break you of this habbit. 

Food is your BFF lately, you have been eating everything you can get your hands on. But your favorite food hands down are corn dogs. Mommy found one of her favorite cartoons on Netflix called Bobby's World and you LOVE IT! We fell asleep watching it together Saturday and you were so sweet when you rolled over and put your arm around my neck and fell asleep.

This past weekend, we did lots of work in the yard and you loved it! You love any and every excuse to get dirty and your new favorite hobby is climbing up the dirt by the tree. You were such a big helper!!

Dear RB: A mountain weekend with our best friends next weekend? So very excited. Cant wait for some adult alone time with you!! Dear FAR: I know mommy had to leave you last weekend to go into the hospital and that broke both of our hearts, but next weekend I know you will have a blast with your Aunt Kay Kay and she will spoil you rotten! Dear Face: Keep up the good work with the healing thing. Dear Self: Why was I so crazy to schedule a gyno apt. Thursday, a Dr. Apt Friday and were leaving Friday night! *Crazy self* Dear Grey's: Last night you broke me. That was the saddest episode ever. Cannot wait until next week!! Dear Bloggy Friends: I love each and every one of you. Just thought you should know.

Sand box Pimp

Okay have y'all ever been to Dicks Last Resort? It's my favorite restaurant in Myrtle Beach. When you go in they are rude to you on purpose and they mess around with you but you always get really good service. For example my Mother in Law asked for coffee and the water told her that if she wanted coffee she could leave and find a Denny's. During your dinner you get very attractive hats too! 

This was the first restaurant we were able to find FAR's favorite food... a corndog. And he ate every last bite! 

Nascar Speeding

Okay since we got yesterday's yuckies out of the way we can pick up the vacation recap I've been trying to do since we got back! Although we were beach front, we didn't go to the beach everyday. GASP I know but chasing a toddler around on the beach is exhausting  So one of the days we were there we went to the Nascar Speed Park! 

Fletcher was so ill while we were here. Turns out he cut a tooth! As you can tell in the photo where he's driving, his mouth hurt him so bad!!! :( Poor baby! But regardless we had a BLAST and later that night we went to Dick's Last Resort. But you get to read about that tomorrow :)

Home Sweet Home

If you follow on Instagram or Twitter, you know i've had a very interesting 4 days... 

Okay so last week I thought I had a nasty pimple. Lovely right? Anway, after realizing it wasn't a nasty pimple I went to CVS to ask the pharmacy what I could put on it, thinking it was a cyst. She agreed with me and sent me on a hunt for Black Salve. That stuff is disgusting. IT smells like motor oil and it is BLACK. So i'm putting this stuff on my face and it's supposed to.. ya know, get the nasty out. After trying for 40 minutes (while watching Private Practice *RIP Pete*) it wasn't working. So I went to the ER on Wednesday and got it lanced and drained. Everything was looking better and they put me on an antibotic and pain meds and told me to come back in 48 hours for a wound check. They said it would take no time, I'd be in and out and on my way.  Which was great, because Saturday I was throwing the Amy a baby shower! 

So Thursday I was sick in bed ALL day. And I couldn't keep anything down. I was miserable. Thanks antibiotic. But I still took it. And followed all the instructions they gave me. So Friday I was feeling better, thinking my face was getting better and I went shopping with Stacy for the baby shower. We dropped everything off at her house where RB was hanging with her hubby and I gave FAR to him to run to get my face checked, run to get pizza, and we were going to make cupcakes with Michelle. 

So I got to the hospital and wait to go to triage. The nurse then looks at my face and sends me to another nurse. Then that nurse puts me in  minor care to see the Dr. over there for another look. No big deal, I'd be in and out, maybe an hour. Well not even 5 minutes after I was sent over the nurse came and got me and put me in the ER. 

Before I could even get comfortable the ER doc was in there saying the tests they ran Wednesday came back as positive for Staph and she was calling a surgeon to see how to proceed because it was on my face. On the outside I keep my cool.. but the inside i'm a mess. 


So I call RB and Stace brings him to the hospital because I had our car and his truck was at home, and I text my mom. They both arrive to find out that I had to have iv antibiotics and they were reopening my face.  So after an allerigic reaction to the antibotics, and when they realized that the Staph was spreading down my face, I got a one way ticket to room 330. 

how I spend the last 4 days. 

Everyday they reopened my face to repack it and it hurt worse than anything. After the first day I got to come unplugged and only get meds every 6 hours. 

I blew 3 veins 

I was stuck more times than I can remember 

The meds made me so sick to my stomach. 

and the worst of all... 

I WAS AWAY FROM FAR

My stay was supposed to be 24 hours. 24 turned into 48. 48 turned into 72.  I was away from my little guy from Friday until Monday. Everytime my Dr. said one more day I cried. I have never dreaded those words more than I did. My brother and sister in law did bring FAR up to the hospital Sunday and I got to go to the lobby and see him. He wanted nothing to do with his mommy and her big owie on her face. After I came up to my room, I sobbed. 

Thanks to my amazing family and friends, my sweet guy was taken care of. and I am so thankful. 

So now i'm back, and I'm catching up on blogging, schoolwork, laundry, cleaning, and wife duities. but the first thing I did when I got home was snuggle with my sweet baby and take a nap. 

Priorities people... :)  

By the way: I caught up on a lot of blog reading while I was laid up. and I wanted to let everyone know about Abbey! An Infection, An Alergy, and An Owie

Okay so first and foremost I'm on my iPhone so no prettiness ;) Friday night I was admitted into the hospital with a face infection (you may have seen on Twitter or Instagram) So I have not abandoned my lovely blog... And I will give everyone the full story when I'm healthy. Prayers are appreciated :)

Okay so anyway, I was so excited that this year, FAR can semi "cheese" and I knew we would get some even better photo's in front of the ocean... 

Ummm yeah. I guess I forgot that I was going to the beach with a toddler!! So I got no great family photo, and I got lots and lots of exercise chasing FAR up and down the beach! 

This one is my favorite though. The. Only. Favorite.
