In My Opinion.... 

When Rachel @ lala Lists emailed me and asked me to link up with her, I couldn't refuse! So here are just a few of my opinions. (Please remember that it's exactly that, an opinion. Everyone has one. These just happen to be mine :) 

1)this is the cutest little boy in the entire world

2) new episodes of Grey's Anatomy need to come on everyday. #mcdreamyissomcyummy

3) Algebra is the stupidest subject. You use letters in English, not in math

4) best friends make the world a better place

5) pink is the prettiest color around 

6) people should have to take a written exam before they are aloud to procreate

7) this man hung the moon: 

8) everyone should go to at least one bonfire during the fall season 

9) reese's pumpkins and trees taste better than regular reeces

10) everyone should have a church family they are plugged into

11) naps are a necessity not a luxury

12) chocolate makes the world go round. my world anyway 

13) e-mailing sweet bloggers like Brin and Tiff make me smile

14) bloggers that link up to a link up just to be first are selfish. I hate going to a blog to expect a link up and it not be there

15) politics are personal:  that's why voting takes place in a booth-for-one

This is what I will be doing for the next few hours. So while i'm slaving away doing math I've taken the liberty of finding you some great blog posts to read. #iknowirock

Olivia has a special spot in my <3 because she is a Georgia girl like me! She's made some awesome Pinterest goals for October that you should go check out and maybe get an idea or two for yourself :) Last (but certainly not least) is Tiff. This sweet girl was one of the first bloggers to reach out to me, and last month I was honored that she guest posted on my blog while I was on vacation.  Go read about her big night out

Friday Letters: Back to the Basics

Dear Followers: 

As I sit here and stare at this blank post I remember that I only started blogging just a few short months ago. and the entire reason I started this blog was to create a place to look back and see memories of Fletch. Instead i've found myself blogging about what i'm recently loving, and how much I want to win a giveaway. I have a feeling that in 5 years i'm going to look back and not really care about winning a planner (although today that'd be pretty awesome) or that my current crush is a yummy yogurt. So what i'm trying to say is: i'm sorry. I will still do my lovely link ups (like my favorite Friday Letters!), the ones that will let me talk about me. my family. and what's important to us.

So lets get started with 5 Random Facts (i'm going to try to think of something i've never talked about): 

• I'm very involved with my church's children's ministry. I love their values and I fully believe in what they teach (God made you, God loves you, and Jesus wants to be your forever friend!)
• I have a lot more self confidence when I have blonde hair. I don't know why, It makes me feel prettier I guess.
• Every morning I read by bible, check my email, check my facebook and check blogger. In that order. 
• 2010 was one of the craziest years in my life. I got engaged, a week later my brother died, 6 months later I got married, then I got pregnant! 
• The only way I wont bite my nails is if I have acrylic over them. So every 2 weeks I pamper myself. and I fully think I deserve it ;)

What is your dream job? To interpret Sign Language for Kids.
What is your favorite thing about blogging? Looking back and remembering.
If I could give you a plane ticket to anywhere, where would you go? Hawaii!

Any pets? No. I am NOT a pet person.
If you won $150,000 how would you spend it? I would donate to my church, then buy a house and fix it up.

Tell us a little about your family... I have a hubby named RB and a 13 month old named Fletch. but y'all know that ;)
What do you consider to be your best quality? I believe i'm generous. I will do anything for you if I can.

If you could live anywhere, where would you live? Wilmington, North Carolina. ALWAYS wanted to pick up and move there.  
What is your most memorable childhood memory. We had a blizard in GA in '93 and b/c we had no heat we had to go spend a few nights at the fire station (my dad was a firefighter at the time) And on the way home I was with my dad and we hit black ice and we spun around in a 360 a few times. And dad made it fun. 
What is your most favorite movie of ALL TIME? Little Mermaid. Hands down.
Which season is your favorite, and why. Fall. No extreme heat, No extreme cold, No pollen and UGA Football. 
If you could have one super power what would it be? I'd love to fly!

Dear RB: Doing 2 loads of laundry while I was at Orientation? A-ma-zing. And I didn't even ask! I love you. Seriously, to the moon and back. And I can't wait for our *DATE* tonight! 

Dear Fletch: Do you know how my heart melted when I was leaving for school yesterday and you held your arms out and gave me the biggest hug? Totally made my day. Your getting to big baby guy... 

Dear Bloggers: Why do you link up to a link up when you haven't even written your post yet? Is it cool to be #1? And i'm really not being rude.. just curious.

Breakfast, a Pedicure and a Giant Cucumber...

.... Now that's what I call a GREAT weekend! Hi dolls! How was everyone's weekend? This weekend was crazy! I don't think we stopped moving! 

Friday... With the help of Michelle and Alex (Stacy's husband) I threw a surprise birthday party for my sweet friend Stacy! It went great but they only picture I got was me making cupcakes. How lame am I? But Stacy was so surprised and I stuffed myself silly with spinach dip so it was a win all around :) Fletcher went home with his daddy and got a power nap and was awake by the time I got home... then he decided to have a diaper party at 11pm! #fail #onetiredmomma

 Saturday... My mom treated RB, FAR, and I to breakfast at the new Covington Diner. And I was impressed! Fletcher had a Mickey Mouse pancake bigger than his head and the building (former Shoney's turned into a Chinese buffet) Was clean and different! We will defiantly be going back, plus they are open 24 hrs on the weekend. Not that that matters to me because frankly i'm asleep by 10. 

Then I got an amazing pedi 

(Do you see my tan lines on my feet from my flip flops. Totally from cutting grass!)

After this we took Fletcher to meet his best friend. My son fell in love with Larry the Cucumber. (If your thinking what is this crazy talking about, click here) Oh my word. If Fletcher had his way we would of loaded up giant Larry and brought him home. (We did leave with a Larry movie and a Noah's Ark with Larry as Noah) Fletcher climbed up RB to look at Larry when we were not talking to him and had a COW when we had to leave Larry at the store. 

 

 

 

 

When we got home my sweet sweet cousin Brit came over and we she designed my new blog design! And I also made the plunge and became talesfromfar.com Wahoo!! 

Sunday... I woke up with Sinus junk and Fletcher had a teething fever so we stayed home from church and had a relaxing day with family :)  And ended the night with the #pfchat with Passionfruit Ads Fletch helped :)

RB: Those pancakes you made yesterday? A-ma-zing. Seriously. You spoil me. As much as I don't deserve it, I am so thankful for it. And you! 

Fletcher: You are growing up sooo fast! Seriously. 12 teeth now and you've learned to drink through a straw. I love each and every one of your milestones! 

Michelle: I'm so thankful your my best friend. And you live in the fancy neghiborhood where we can watch fireworks in your yard. Yay for 4th of July :) (& blueberry beer!) 

Chelsea: You are seriously one of the sweetest blog friends I have. Thank you so much for everything! Especially my new social media buttons :)  One day i'll buy a blog design. When i'm not  cheep. poor. umm.. yeah no other words.

Bauble Swap Revel!

Okay so I got the COOLEST Bauble Swap partner. One of my fav bloggers Jess @ Bowie to Baltimore was my partner and she did AWESOME! [She did so much better than I did... Sorry Jess I tried :/]


I couldn't get a pic of the envelope before my crazy son sweet baby boy FAR ripped it apart, but it was super cute I promise!!

Dancin for Joy & Versatile Blogger

My brother is a youth leader at his church and every year he throws the coolest VBS's. This year the theme is Pirates and last night we took Fletch to the opening night. He is too young to participate but he had the BEST time singing and dancing before and after all the activities!

1) DIY Stresses me out. I love DIY looking stuff, and I love pinning stuff to Pintrest. But I have never tried anything DIY. 

2) I love having blonde hair. But every time I've tried to give myself blonde hair it's turned out a disaster. and since we had Fletch I went back natural to save $$. So for now.. i'm brown ;)

3) I will do any household chore except clean out the refrigerator. It grosses me out... So that's RB's job!

4) I've been off of Soda's for over a month now and I lost 13 lbs!! 

5) I'd give you my right arm for a Dr. Pepper right now... 

6) I'm pretty addicted to FB. And my Twitter addiction is getting bad too.
