On my Heart...

You may have noticed i've been a little absent via twitter, facebook, and the blog world. I have been completely bombarded. swamped. crazed. with life lately.  In order to survive i've needed to make a few changes in my life recently.

No more paid sponsors. Paid sponsors= pressure. Pressure to make sure blog posts are written, giveaways are maintained, and sponsor stuff is written. Right now I cannot handle it. Maybe after the first of the year, but we'll see. But I am always open to swapping ;)

The other day I came to a realization that I was trying to get everything done on a schedule. Make sure FAR is taken care of. Make sure school work is done. Make sure the kitchen is spotless before bed. I was forgetting the biggest part of my agenda.
Playtime. I've been trying to make sure everything gets done, but I've forgotten to sit down and play with my little guy. So last night I went to bed with dishes in the sink, school work that didn't get done, and a full heart from playing and snuggling with the cutest 17 month old in the world.

Will you hear from me tomorrow? Probably not. But I won't abandon my wonderful blog. It's my outlet. I love the fact I have "met" each and every one of you. I have made friendships that are irreplaceable. But for now, i'm right where I need to be

This past weekend was a very exciting time for my little family. A lot of you don't know this but we live with my mother-in-law. AND grandmother-in-law. I love them both very much but when they told us last month they were going out of town I got very excited. We had a whole weekend to just be a FAMILY of 3! This does not happen often and we took full advantage!!!

Friday night we went to the grocery store and got the stuff we needed to have some people over Saturday and the stuff i'm making for thanksgiving. We also picked up a family favorite for dinner: Kroger brand 6 cheese spaghetti sauce on top of Angel hair pasta. I craved this when I was preggo and I was wanting some (my MIL and GIL have to have meat in their spaghetti so I can't make it when they are here) and Fletcher tore it up. I wonder if he remembered it coming through his umbilical cord? ;)

Saturday Fletch and I hung out at home while RB worked. He got off at 2 and we cleaned up outside and moved the fire pit to the patio area and blew the leaves off and my bestie and her family came over for "friendsgiving" We sat around, ate appetizers, talked, and roasted marshmallows for S mores. Yum!

This photo cracks me up. RB (who is so hot natured it's unbelievable is wearing shorts, t-shirt and flip flops. FAR is in a coat and hat
Sunday I went to church and heard the most wonderful message on healing, (Want some healing? PLEASE click here and watch this. Trust me on this & Thank me later)  and then made the drive to Loganville to babysit KP so Michelle and D could go to a funeral. I love getting our boys together to play. KP calls FAR "baby FAR" even though FAR is almost as big as KP! (FAR is 17 months, KP is almost 4!)

I hope your weekend was as good as mine.

Maybook Giveaway

One of the best perks about blogging is FREE stuff. Go ahead and deny it if you want too but everybody loves something they don't have to pay for. So after talking to the amazing people at MayDesigns They sent me one of their awesome Maybooks to test out and I LOVE IT!

One of my favorite parts about Maybooks are that they are bound together using a sewing machine. How neat is that? Because it's threaded together with thread the pages don't rip out... not like regular planners on a binder or in a notebook. and they are all handmade.  Is that quality or what?!!
And because MayDesigns loves us, they've given me a MayBook to give away!! Enter blow to win one of your own :) :)

Pink is my favorite color...

Dear Bloggers... Have y'all heard about the #pinkproject?! Brittany who blogs at NaturallyEstes  has a heart of GOLD! I recently connected with her on Twitter when she asked for help for her #pinkproject and I did a little research then signed right up!!

The #pinkproject Brittany's brilliant idea of raising money so that 4 women in Ethiopia can have a right to live. and if she meets her goal of $1600 Brittany is going to die her hair pink.  Totally not kidding.

So what are we asking you to do today? I know you love waking up every morning and getting ready for work and getting in your car and going through the drive through to get that white and green  red holiday cup. For today only, would you think about taking that $5 you would normally spend on a cup of Starbucks and donating it to the #pinkproject? If you donate, your name will be entered into a drawing for a Starbucks Giftcard giveaway! So you would still get your Starbucks, just have to wait a little bit longer :)

So lets all contribute to help these 4 women! Oh, and to the fabulous photos of Brittany's Pink Hair! :)
Oh and while i've got you here, let me tell you a little bit about my friend Kelsey. Last week I gave away some ad space on Twitter because I was feeling generous (Speaking of Twitter - do you follow me? @amandarodewig ) and Kelsey who blogs at Stories of Kel grabed one of them up. She and her husband are one of the cutest couples ever. Seriously. Click here to read about their recent Staycation, then go read 8 Things You Probally Didn't Know About Me. When your done with that - follow her via GFC and tell her I sent ya ;)

Just Words

I don't have a lot for you today. Just words. No cute photos, no guest posting, and no giveaways. Lately i've been struggling. I'm exhausted every night when my head hits the pillow and I fall asleep before RB and I can have our nightly chat and giggle fest. Well I giggle... he mainly giggles. Is there even such a thing!?! Going to school full time, being a mommy, a wife, a best friend, a servant to God's kingdom, a sister, a daughter, a blogger... all of it is exhausting. But it's a good kind of exhausting.. you know what i mean? To lay my head down at the end of the day and think about everything ive accomplished... it's a good feeling :) I guess what i'm trying to say is that i'm thankful that I can be exausted. Thankful I have the opportunity to go back to school, extremly thankful for my 2 guys, I guess i'm just being nostalgic  Thanks for listening :)
