Summer Bucket List

Since I am taking the Summer off from college, I wanted to make sure our family has lots of fun things packed into this three month time period. I'm so excited because this Summer FAR is turning 2 and there are so many fun things to do with him! So here is our Summer family Bucket List :)

- Go to Stone Mountain and not play in the snow :)
- Have a huge party for a pretty special 2 year old.

- Travel to the other best friends house (who doesn't blog-loser) to spend lots of time at the lake that her neighborhood is off of.
- Weekly play dates with FAR's cousins!
- Lots of cookouts, with watermelon!
- Go Strawberry picking
- Take FAR to see Monsters University in 3D
- Take FAR back to Noah's Ark
Look how little he was!!!

What NOT to do with a Toddler

So just in case this is your first time here on my side of the internet (Welcome!) I am a stay at home first time mom and a full time student, but that's a different story for a different day.
RB and I are constantly looking for fun stuff to do with our big guy FAR who is about to be 2! My mother-in-law wanted to treat us to the Aquarium and I just knew Fletcher would LOVE it. In my head I pictured a sweet little boy who looked at the fish all day long and we had the most wonderful family day.

Umm yeah. That DID NOT happen. He was impressed for the first oh let's say 5 minutes. and then he screamed. He cried. He pitched the biggest fit his two year old body could pitch. FAR wanted to RUN. and running in an crowded Aquarium full of schools on field trips and home school groups and whatever you could imagine just was not a possibility.
^^How I felt. ^^

So I did what any typical Momma would do. I let him scream and pitch a fit while I enjoyed the fish with my hubby :)

True story. But what was I supposed to do with a screaming toddler after we were gifted with these awesome expensive tickets. I got looks, I got stares, and honestly, I didn't care. So what finally calmed him down? A 4D movie.

Fletcher, Mommy loves you so much, but we're not going back to the Aquarium until you are 12

has anyone else had an experience similar to ours? Let me know! I'll host a link-up so we can all learn from each other's mistakes ;)

Oh Baby Baby....

Everywhere I have seen people announcing they are pregnant. All of the people I was preggo with when I had FAR are announcing all over Facebook and Twitter that "they are expecting" "baby #2 is on the way" so with that being said....

I'm not pregnant.

But I want to be, so very badly. Is it fertility issues? Nope. (Praise Jesus)I'm pretty sure everything is working fine. and the funny thing is, when I think about raising a newborn and a toddler my whole body cringes. I tense up. I want to vomit thinking about all the lack of sleep, Trying to teach FAR to behave around the baby, getting big as a house again, and just being overall miserable.

But when I think about baby snuggles, nursing, cute baby girl stuff I get all warm and fuzzy inside. I want another baby. My arms ache when I think about holding another sweet gift of God in my arms. If you would of asked me a year ago if FAR would ever be a big brother you would of gotten a really fast "NO!" but now... I don't know if it's because i'm getting older, or what but I have extreme baby fever.

Two main things have to change before we can even dream about having another baby. I have to finish school & We have to have a house of our own. We cannot raise another baby where we live, it is just not feasible for many reasons, the main one being space. So until these two things come I will continue poppin my pill, and prayin for God's will :)

Speaking of babies... How's FAR you ask?
Big.

Sassy.

Loving.

Hilarious.

Amazing.

PS- Linking up with Finding Family, I can't get the button to work!

Baby Jalapeno

So if you have been a long time reader of my blog, you've probally already read this post and this one. But if you haven't, take a moment and go. I'll wait...

Okay now that you are already all caught up we will go back a few weeks. Amy's husband wanted to deliver their baby boy and Amy asked me if I would be in there to take some photos of her hubby delivering. Of course I said yes! I have never seen a birth before, besides my own and since I had a C I couldn't even see that. So I was so excited!!

Friday night around 12:30 I had just gotten to sleep and my phone rang. It was Amy's hubby telling me he was leaving work going to get her and take her to the hospital. I was sooo excited. I jumped up, got dressed, laid back down, charged my camera batteries, laid back down, entered some giveaways, laid back down, and waited. Finally I made my coffee and took off for the hospital (I live a lot closer to the hospital then they do) Once I got there it was 2AM and they showed up right behind me. We went inside and they did all the changing and checking and peeing and all that fun stuff and she was dilated to only a 1. So after some sweet talking, and some water drinking the nurse decided she needed to walk for an hour to see if she progressed and if not she had to go home. We walked and walked and when the checked her again she was already at a 2 and so they admitted her. Next time they checked her her water broke. I just knew that baby was coming any minute.

and he did... 8 hours later :)

In My Opinion

In My Opinion....
When Rachel @ lala Lists emailed me and asked me to link up with her, I couldn't refuse! So here are just a few of my opinions. (Please remember that it's exactly that, an opinion. Everyone has one. These just happen to be mine :)

1)this is the cutest little boy in the entire world

2) new episodes of Grey's Anatomy need to come on everyday. #mcdreamyissomcyummy
3) Algebra is the stupidest subject. You use letters in English, not in math
4) best friends make the world a better place
5) pink is the prettiest color around
6) people should have to take a written exam before they are aloud to procreate
7) this man hung the moon:
8) everyone should go to at least one bonfire during the fall season
9) reese's pumpkins and trees taste better than regular reeces
10) everyone should have a church family they are plugged into
11) naps are a necessity not a luxury
12) chocolate makes the world go round. my world anyway
13) e-mailing sweet bloggers like Brin and Tiff make me smile
14) bloggers that link up to a link up just to be first are selfish. I hate going to a blog to expect a link up and it not be there
15) politics are personal:  that's why voting takes place in a booth-for-one
16) everyone who reads this should go enter this giveaway for a new personalized #Maybook

This is my confession...

Okay so I have something I need to tell you. I failed to mention that yesterday was my birthday. Usually my birthdays are the biggest day of the year. We always have a big party, I get lots of presents, and it's a wonderful time. I knew, due to finances, etc that this birthday would not be this way and so I just put out of my mind. But quite honestly, this was one of my favorite birthdays. My hubby got me the sweetest card from him and FAR got me a card too :) My bestie surprised me when I woke up Saturday AM with a Starbucks gift card and Reeses (My favorite candy!) And we spent the day feeding bears and traveling. Wait did I get ahead of myself? Let's start at the beginning....

Friday afternoon we dropped FAR off with his Aunt KK and Uncle G and met Michelle & Daniel in Loganville. We left about 6:30 and stopped to eat and made it all the way to the Mall of GA (45 minutes or so) before we stopped again at POPCORN HAVEN! I so wish I would of taken photos here... This place was amazing! RB and I got: Dill Pickle Popcorn (my fav!) Hot Wing and Ranch with Cheese, and BANANA PUDDING POPCORN! Daniel and Michelle got 1/2 Salt and Vinegar 1/2 Dill Pickle,  Peanut Butter Chocolate, and KEY LIME PIE! It was so delish! We talked and snacked on popcorn the entire trip up.

Saturday we woke up and went to Helen. Lucky for us, it was Octoberfest! We had a blast walking around and going into shops, and we ate dinner at Pauls on the River. Yum! We went back to the cabin and played games and talked and had a great time :)

Sunday was my actual Birthday and we woke up and ate a amazing breakfast of eggs, bacon, and grits. We then packed up and left to go to see the Bears! We got to feed them and look at them. Those bears looked so sweet and cuddly I made the comment I wanted to take one home. The creepy caretaker guy informed me they would kill me. It was defiantly an experience  On the way out we made plans to break the bears free so they could go back into the wild...

So all in all my birthday weekend was wonderful. memorable. and one of the best ones ever. Funny how that kinda thing sneaks up on you right? :)
