15 Month Checkup

While we were on vacation, FAR turned 15 Months old! Cannot believe it. Yesterday we had our 15 month checkup with Dr. V. She is the newest Dr. at Dr. M's practice and we really liked her!

15 Month Stats:
30lbs 2oz
34 inches long
19.5 head circumference

He is in the 97% in height and weight! He had to have 4 shots (MMR, Flu, DTP, HIB B) His iron was in the normal range thank goodness so we don't have to take any supplements.

Dr. V is very pleased with all of his developmental progress! We will be back in a month for his Flu booster and then we don't have to go back until December for his 18 month checkup!

30 Days of..... Water?

This morning my hubby and I were eating breakfast together before he went to work and he said he was going to start drinking water all the time and asked if I wanted to do it with him. Immediately my mind starting working Coffee.... Sweet Tea.... DR PEPPER.... and I quickly responded "I'm good". Those who know me know that those 3 things keep me going daily. But after talking further and basally him peer pressuring me (He's good at that) Were going to drinking water only for 30 days. There are 2 exceptions:

1. I still keep my morning coffee while I read my bible.
2. Sweet tea at Supper.

I am a southern born and raised. I say y'all and call everyone ma'am or sir. and I drink Sweet tea at Supper.  It's what I do. Maybe one day I will be able to change my ways but for now, I'm stubborn. Today is Day 1 of my 30 days! So far I've had my coffee with my breakfast and 2 8 oz glasses of water. Maybe this will help me start drinking more water so just in case IF we ever get pregnant again I will not get yelled at during every appointment by my doctor or midwife for not drinking enough and they won't have to put me in the hospital again with an iv of fluids for 8 hours and come out with 10 bruises because it took 3 nurses and 8 iv sticks to get a iv going in the dehydrated pregnant woman.. NOT FUN. So wish me luck! and if you have any drinking water tips feel free to leave them below. :)

Running like a Fireman... say what?!

Almighty guys and gals. If y'all know me, you know I. Don't. Run. At all. No way no how. Once upon a while ago I was challenged to work out with a friend who used to work at a gym. Every morning we would start out on the treadmill where he would pump out 4-5 miles in the time I'd walk 1. and THEN we would begin working out. For all of you that are asking, no I don't think he's human.
Ducky finishing a 5k a few months back.

Well lately my circle of close friends are all into running. Even my husband.  In my head I don't understand it at all, but to each
their own! I'll tell you like it is. Big girls don't run. The boobs get in the way unless you strap them down with duct tape and things jiggle that are not supposed to jiggle.. i'm just saying.  But I have to be the follower and do whatever my friend so insert the

That I am registering to run in. Now let me take that back. They have a 5k which my husband will be doing (His First! I am so excited for him!) along with 3 of our closest friends. Then they have a 1 mile Run/Walk which this girl will be doing along with another friend and our kiddos. How much will I actually run? Probably not much. If any at all. But will I feel like I won first place brag to all my friends wearing my spiffy t shirt I get for participating? You better believe it.

Maybe i'll just steal the trophy and go eat some Mexican. I'm okay with that too.
