Grass Cutting

Now that Fletcher is 14 months old, i've decided to start making him do some work around the here. He already knows how to do fix his own snacks, do his own laundry, and drive. So Yesterday, he learned how to cut grass...

Living

This weekend I didn't have a bloggy party (Thx Brit- jk jk), and I didn't plan any future posts. I also didn't even sit down at my computer except to pay bills!

What I did do was...

- Had lunch with one of my BFF's

- Started planning our family vacation that is in less than a month! 

- Cuddled with Fletcher and tickled his toes Saturday morning 

- Spent almost $600 in textbooks (including a $150 calculator! AHH!)

- Cleaned up Fletch's vomit because he gagged himself with a Poweraide top

- Ate Pacho's twice (and both times it was free for me!)

- Watched This Means War with my family (It was so so)

- Went to RB's Aunt & Uncle 's 50th Birthday Party 

- Wore this dress:

I lived the life I love to blog about! and it felt wonderful!! I was a mom. a wife. a best friend. I wasn't a blogger. and it was a nice break.... but now it's Monday. And i'm ready to jump back into my tweeting, my facebooking, and most importantly, my blogging. :) 

So thanks weekend, you're the best. I hope you treated my readers as awesome as you treated me :) 

It's Ok...

... that yesterday I slept till 11. 

... & all I did was pick & email giveaway winners, and ate sushi with my guys followed by a Target trip

... That I got 2 outfits and some awesome pens with a Target gift card. 

... that I get way to excited about purchasing pens, and other school supplies.

 

... that i'm leaving for the beach in 31 days!! 

... That i'm still ill over the fact I have to buy a $130 calculator. BUT they are on sale this week at Target for $90 AND it's Tax free weekend in Ga. So I will be buying one then *hopefully*

Fletch is growing up more and more everyday. It's crazy to believe that just a year ago he looked like this

Lately he has been 100% boy! Getting into everything. His newest trick is climbing into kitchen chairs by his self. But his favorite toy to play with are CARS. 

 

 

Cant you just eat him up!?! Omgoodness!! Anyway today i'm going to introduce you to my new friend Jess. Recently we have been emailing and she is soo awesome. love her. But i'm going to hush and let her do the talking! 

Hey there!

I'm Jessica from Extravagant Dreams. I'm SUPER excited to be here on Amanda's blog today!

I'm a fairly new blogger, although I have dabbled at it in the past.  I even had a Xanga account once, remember those? :)  I was inspired to start writing again after following several bloggers for a while and loving not only their content, but the sense of community they had built up with their readers.

I have also found a hidden creative streak in myself and love posting about my latest pinterest experiments, manicure ideas, and sewing projects.

What else?  :)  Well, I'm married to my best friend, Doad.  We met in '07 right before I graduated high school and moved to Texas for two years.  Long story short, we finally started dating long distance 7 months before I moved home.  About a year and a half later, he proposed.  We had a 6 month engagement and then had the best day of our lives on 3.11.12, followed by the best week of our lives on our honeymoon to the Dominican Republic.  I love him more than words could ever express and am blown away daily by the love he has for me.

What do I do?  I work part-time at an office filing court paperwork - super exciting! ;)  I am a licensed hairstylist and can hook you up with some awesome haircolor if you live nearby.  I'm also an Avon rep and an eyeliner junkie, so if you need makeup - I've also got the hook-up there.  ;)

Friday Letters: Back to the Basics

Dear Followers: 

As I sit here and stare at this blank post I remember that I only started blogging just a few short months ago. and the entire reason I started this blog was to create a place to look back and see memories of Fletch. Instead i've found myself blogging about what i'm recently loving, and how much I want to win a giveaway. I have a feeling that in 5 years i'm going to look back and not really care about winning a planner (although today that'd be pretty awesome) or that my current crush is a yummy yogurt. So what i'm trying to say is: i'm sorry. I will still do my lovely link ups (like my favorite Friday Letters!), the ones that will let me talk about me. my family. and what's important to us.

100 followers? Seriously? Thank you so much. I know you 100 (now 100+) people don't like to hear about numbers and followers, that's not why your here. So I will say Thank you, and I will move on... So together were starting a series called 2 Girls and a Pin. Where we tackle all the things that people pin but never get the guts to do. So check it out tomorrow when we post our first DIY :) 

You, Me, & Fletcher

I almost had a date night.

Fletcher and I were on our way home from the last night of VBS at our church and he fell asleep on the way home. So when we got home I laid him down and RB and I were doing the dishes. We started talking and decided we would have a date night when we got done. Popcorn and a Netflix in the living room. RB even said he would watch a chick flick. I got so excited, because it's been so long since we've had any kind of date or time to ourselves! So RB popped the pop corn and made tomato sandwiches (we live so dangerous!) and I put on my pj's and I was in the bathroom and I heard screaming. No big deal, I'll just get him a cup of water and he will fall right back asleep. so I did as such and went to turn the Wii on in the living room and heard the dreaded noise again. This time he was standing up... 

Date night became Family night. 


I still got my tomato sandwiches, and a had a little boy sharing my popcorn. And the chick flick turned into a documentary on Monopoly.

RB: Those pancakes you made yesterday? A-ma-zing. Seriously. You spoil me. As much as I don't deserve it, I am so thankful for it. And you! 

Fletcher: You are growing up sooo fast! Seriously. 12 teeth now and you've learned to drink through a straw. I love each and every one of your milestones! 

Michelle: I'm so thankful your my best friend. And you live in the fancy neghiborhood where we can watch fireworks in your yard. Yay for 4th of July :) (& blueberry beer!) 

Chelsea: You are seriously one of the sweetest blog friends I have. Thank you so much for everything! Especially my new social media buttons :)  One day i'll buy a blog design. When i'm not  cheep. poor. umm.. yeah no other words. 

Momma- THANK YOU for giving me your Coach wallet. That's true love right there... 

Weekend Update

My amazing, wonderful, awesome husband let me sleep until 10:45... with that being said, it's 1:30PM on Monday afternoon and I am just sitting down at the computer. This weekend was CRAZY! So for the first time, i'm linking up for.... 

On SATURDAY I spent the morning cooking and baking! I made a Crock Pot lasagna, Carrot Cake bars with homemade cream cheese icing, and Oatmeal raisin cookies! My bestie Michelle & her family, my momma, RB's momma & Nanny, and my brother Andy and his family came over for an Italian night. and it was sooo yummmy! With everything I made we also had 2 kinds of Manicotti, Salad, Garlic Bread, and Brownies! And since it was a million degrees here, we set up Fletch's kiddie pool & sprinkler and the kiddos had some FUN! 

 

 Fletcher took a break from playing to cut grass...

 

On SUNDAY we went as a family to church (wahoo!) and then went to Michelle's for lunch and hung out. Then we went to the Lazer Show @ Stone Mountain Park! 

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

 

 

 

 

The Lazer Show is the coolest thing. And Fletcher  LOVED IT. I was worried about him with the fireworks but he was mesmerized!  

All in all. Great weekend!

Anyway. Fletcher is totally out of baby food, but this stuff he has fun eating because he can do it his self and it makes him feel like a big boy :) and it's healthy. That's an A+ in my book!! 

Current Crush Thursday: Monk

Week of Fletch: Day 4


My Current Crush today (linkup via Danielle @ Framed Frosting) is about Monk. All babies have a lovie. Wheither it is a blanket, stuffed animal, paci, etc. Well Fletch's lovie is his Monk. Monk came to live with us before Fletcher did. I received him at one of my baby showers and he waited in the bassinet patiently for Fletcher to come home from the hospital. And Monk has been around ever since. 

 

 

So Thanks Monk... For making my son's tears go away and loving him *almost* as much as I do.
